AMERICAN FOUNDATION of the ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC

The American Foundation of the Royal Academy of Music was founded to promote the Royal Academy of Music in the United States and to provide an opportunity for the most gifted and talented students of the performing arts to study at the Royal Academy of Music with internationally renowned faculty.

In order for the Royal Academy of Music to have absolute discretion in the selection of students, the American Foundation provided full scholarships.

​​

Her Royal Highness, Diana The Princess of Wales, as President of the Royal Academy of Music, was committed to improving and enhancing cultural reinforcement and exchange between the United States and the United Kingdom. The Princess of Wales wished to attract top United States students to the Royal Academy of Music as well as to place top Royal Academy of Music students in the United States.​​

​​​OBJECTIVES OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC​​​

  • Raise public awareness for the Royal Academy of Music and performing arts in the United States and internationally.​

  • ​Provide scholarship for United States students to study at the Royal Academy of Music and Royal Academy of Music students to study in the United States.​​​

  • Support the Royal Academy of Music in Strengthening their international image by providing additional financial support to further enhance the Royal Academy of Music's faculty, renovate facilities and provide the finest instruments.
